Zartan Chair

Whilst working as a product design intern at Philippe Starck's agency in Paris, I was tasked with researching, sketching and prototyping product form solutions for a chair that could be manufactured using modern production techniques but with the difference of employing ecological materials. The final chair was mass produced in Italy by Magis, employing fast growing bio materials such as hemp, bamboo and linen infused with biodegradable plastics that could be gas assisted injection moulded to produce a lightweight stackable form.
